CYBERSECURITY: Two-Factor Authentication
It is almost a truism to say that the more innovative our world becomes, the more threats we face not in reality, but in electronic devices. 2020 has further convinced the international society of that when COVID-19 has attacked both real and digital worlds.
According to an Adobe survey, 70 percent of enterprise chief information officers anticipate investing more in cybersecurity in the near future. At Affise, we invest in our customers and their business security by adapting the product to a rapidly evolving reality. As one of the most effective means in response to cyberattacks, Affise’s customers can now enable Two-Factor Authentication to protect their affiliates’ accounts.
In case someone steals your affiliate’s password, it can result in the loss of access to the account and the use of private information for malicious purposes. To prevent this, you need to add one more ‘shield’ to the verification, namely a verification code. Two-Factor Authentication means your affiliates will go through two checks to prove their identity. We have streamlined the setup process to one step: go to Settings -> Security and tick the relevant checkbox.
Please note that this feature is available for all Affise’s customers, but there should be a custom email domain in the Settings. It’s high time to start using such well-known email service providers as Mailchimp, SendGrid, etc.
After entering the login and password, the affiliate receives an email with a special 6-digit code. The affiliate should insert this code in a pop-up window:
